Eight MVLA Soccer players were named to the All-Santa Clara Valley Athletic League team, De Anza Division, including league MVP Lucas Mohageg.  

MVLA’s own Sarah Robinson scored in the 67th minute of the USW U17’s second group match on Saturday May 5th.  The team went on to beat Trinidad & Tobago 5-0, and will play it’s third group match against Mexico on Monday May 7th at 3:30pm PT.  Read the story for details and links on how to follow the game.

MVLA Director of Coaching Albertin Montoya is leading the US Women’s U-17 team in the CONCACAF Qualifying tournament for the 2012 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup. Find out all the details and how to follow the team.

MVLA ’s Director of Coaching, Albertin Montoya will be conducting two weeks of camps in Summer 2012. These camps will be open to ages 6 - 16 both boys and girls.    

Over 100 players and their families joined MVLA’s Director of Coaching and a panel of college coaches for MVLA’s first annual College Night on Monday, March 26th. The two-hour event featured questions from MVLA players and parents on all aspects of becoming a student-athlete in college.

Stanford goalkeeper coach Jay Cooney will help develop goalkeepers at MVLA.  Jay brings a long history of coaching achievements to the club, including the development of two-time All-American and FC Gold Pride goalkeeper Goal Barnhart and the San Jose CyberRays’s LaKeysia Beene, WUSA’s 2001 Goalkeeper of the Year.

MVLA Soccer Club in sponsorship with SJ Earthquakes and Adidas is extremely pleased to offer a co-ed recreational soccer program for the Los Altos School District Grades 4- 6. Players participate in an afterschool sport for their own school and play games against teams from the other schools. Everyone Plays!!

MVLA Soccer Club has accepted its invitation to become a Member Club of the Elite Clubs National League for the 2012-2013 season.  MVLA girls teams from U14 through U18 will play top clubs from the West Coast and throughout the country.

MVLA Mercury Blue win first place in the U15G Gold/West division of the of the 5th Annual Northern California Spring Showcase over the weekend of March 2nd-4th.  Coach Seth Alberico lead the Mercury Blue through a series of victories, scoring 14 goals while only allowing one.

MVLA Typhoons Black won the U13G Premier divsion of the Juventus 5th Annual Northern California Spring Showcase earlier this month.  CYSA State Championship this past weekend against Juventus.  MVLA’s top U13G team wins all 4 of its games, scoring a total of 11 goals while only allowing 2.

MVLA Predators 01B Blue placed second in the U10B Bronze divsion of the Juventus Il Torneo dei Presidenti over President’s Day this past February.
