MVLA Soccer Club teams are organized by skill, age and gender

Skill

There are typically two skill levels in the club, Division 1 and Division 3:

• Division 1 - A top level team formed by a selection process. Competes at the highest level of play.
• Division 3 - An intermediate level team formed by a tryout selection process. Typically a feeder team to our Division 1 teams

The club typically does not have Division 4 (Recreational) teams and cooperates with local AYSO organizations for such play.

Rankings

This MVLA-internal ranking list (password protected) is used by the Field Coordinator to allocate fields when demand exceeds capacity. At this time, only Class 1 teams are ranked. Please refer to the Field Allocation PIM for details on allocation policy. You can also click here for a Primer and FAQ on how the Rankings are compiled

Age

Teams are usually formed for youths under 9 years old to under 19 years old.

The oldest team member determines the age of the team.
