Teresa Noyola, from MVLA Mercury 90’ and former Gatorade Player of the year, led Stanford to their first NCAA Championship on December 4, 2011. Teresa shared the field this past weekend with Stanford teammate and former MVLA Teammate, Lindsay Taylor . Both Teresa and Lindsay have been named to the NCAA All-America first team and Abigail Dahlkemper(92’ Avalanche) made NCAA All-American third team. Teresa also won the Honda Player of the year award.   Two more MVLA alumni were part of the NCAA Championship. MVLA Avalanche recent graduates and freshman this year Lauren Schmidt (Stanford) and Audrey Gibson (Duke) found themselves sitting on opposite sides for their college teams.
