MVLA teams show strong at USYSA Nationals
MVLA Lightning advances to U16G Final

MVLA’s Lighting 95G and Mercury 96G Black both put on strong showings at the US Youth Soccer National Championship.

Mercury Black went 2-1-0 in group play to finish a close 3rd in the six-team U15G group.  The team lost their opening game 1-0 to Legends FC of Southern California, but then won 1-0 over Sting 97 of Richardson TX and then 3-2 over Bucks Fury from Richboro PA.  With two strong wins, the team earned 6 points to finish behind Legends FC and Kings Soccer Academy of Cincinnati OH both of whom had 7 points out of group play.  The U15G results can be viewed here.

Lightning went 3-0-0 in group play to advance to the Finals on Sunday, July 29th.  The Lightning won their opening game 1-0 over Futura Academy of Kansas City MO, and then posted a big 5-0 win over the Cleveland United White.  The Lightning finalized their place in the finals with a 4-0 win over BRYC Elite of Fairfax VA.  The U16G National Championship kicks-off at 7:30am ET on Sunday, July 29th.  The U16G results can be viewed here.
