Braddock Road Youth Club 95G Elite of Fairfax, VA beat the MVLA Lightning 95G 1-0 on a 71st minute goal by Adrienne Maday. The goal was first and only goal given up by the Lightning during the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series, preventing MVLA from regaining the championship they won in 2010.

With the goal, BRYC’s Adrienne Maday joined Lightning’s Gariella Kaplan and Fatamata Kamara in the five-way tie for Top Scorer among the U16G players with each player scoring 3 girls.  Sarah Robinson also scored 2 goals to be among the top 8 scorers.  The Lightning finished the tournament scoring 10 goals while giving up a single goal in their 4 games.
