Field information

Foothill College Soccer Field is a 120 x 80 yard synthetic turf field.

Restrooms

Restrooms are located on site next to the field with additional restrooms near the Krause Center for Innovation.
Location

Do not confuse the Foothill College Soccer Field with the football stadium located close to the entrance to the college, just off of 280 at El Monte. The Soccer field is located halfway around Perimeter Road and is most easily accessed from Parking Lot 4. The entrance to Parking Lot 4 is on the right side of the street just after the observatory at the Krause Center for Innovation. Parking Lot 4 is located at 4500 Perimeter Rd, Los Altos Hills, CA 94022

A campus map is available at https://foothill.edu/map/index.html

Access

The main gate to the soccer field is located in the far south corner of the Parking Lot and should be unlocked during our hours of permitted use. If the gate is locked, what we have been told is that there will most likely be another gate around the perimeter that is open. Please try this first before having someone hop the fence. The main gate can be unlocked from the inside.

Parking

A parking permit is currently not required for Summer 2025 - Spring 2026 Academic Year as per https://foothill.edu/parking/

A note on their website says that starting in the Fall 2026 Quarter (which begins September 21) they will have a new parking system. There are currently no additional details for non-students, but we have reached out to them for more information and will update this page when we receive a response.

Setup

  • Goals with nets permanently left on are always on the field and secured in place. Corner flags are also permanently left on the field so unless you are playing a National 1 League or ECNL game (see below), there is no particular setup.
  • There are two other goals on site and if these are on the field, they will need to be lifted (6 people minimum) and carried off of the actual playing field – these goals do not have wheels and they MUST NOT BE DRAGGED off the field.

Cleanup

  • The goals and corner flags are left on the field.
  • If this was an ECNL / ECNL RL / National 1 League game, then equipment will need to be returned to the Graham Storage Unit before 9:00 PM. See the “Additional Requirements…” directions below.
  • Please leave the field cleaner than when you arrived.

Additional Requirements for ECNL /ECNL RL / National 1 League Games

ECNL / ENCL RL / National 1 League games have additional requirements as outlined in the NorCal Handbooks. MVLA provides equipment to meet these requirements, and it is up to your team to arrange for a volunteer or volunteers to pick up this equipment on the day of your game or coordinate with other teams for a handoff between games. Because this equipment is shared between teams, you must only pick up the equipment allocated to your team on the dates designated to avoid conflicts.

Please note that for ECNL games, teams must provide their own ice and water for every game. This will often end up with extra bottles of water left over at the end of the day. Feel free to leave these in the storage unit at Graham Middle School or offer them to anyone at the game who would like to take them home, but do not leave them at the field.

Equipment for this field is stored in the storage unit at Graham Middle School. Graham has automatically locking gates and access is restricted during school hours. All equipment must be returned before 9:00 PM. The MVLA storage room is unit B on the opposite side of the concession/bathroom building. The key is located in a key lock box located on the fence next to the building. Note that there are 2 lock boxes. MVLA’s lock box is the large Igloohome lock box on the left side of the fence. Type in the code and press the unlock button, wait for the light to flash green, then pull the front of the box open. Return the key IMMEDIATELY to the key lock box after opening the door and propping it open before retrieving ANY equipment. DO NOT place it in your pocket and forget to return it.
