Google Athletic Recreational Field Park 7v7 or 9v9 Turf Field
For your team’s upcoming game at Google Athletic Recreational Field Park 7v7 or 9v9 Turf Field, here are the rules that we need your help enforcing as well as the setup and cleanup procedures that need to be adhered to if your team has one or both of these duties.
Rules
(Please send to visiting manager)
- MVLA’s permit only allows use of the soccer field so please enforce that no one can use the bocce court, the mini-golf area, the BMX bike area between the field and the road, the basketball court, the hockey rink or any of the other recreational activities nor ride any Google bicycles
- Teams are not allowed to warm up on the mini-golf turf but teams can warm up on the bigger field if there is space.
- No dogs allowed
- No gum allowed on the turf
- No food allowed on the turf
- No drinks other than water allowed on the turf
Parking
Per terms of our permit, users are only allowed to park across the street in the 2000 Charleston Parking Area. There are outdoor spots located around the buildings across the street from the field. Parking along Amphitheatre Pkwy could result in parking tickets as there are “NO STOPPING ANY TIME” signs posted all along that stretch and it interferes with a designated bicycle lane. Please ensure your opponents know the rules for parking.
Lights
- The lights do not turn on automatically at Google – they need to be manually turned on.
- The light timer is in the BMX bike area on a large pole – the gate will be locked but one can push open the gate to access that area. Per Google and the contract for use – this is the “ONLY PERMITTED ACCESS TO THE BMX BIKE AREA” and additionally, “needs to be a singular point person – Coach, Referee or Team Manager“. NO ONE ELSE – NO EXCEPTIONS. Please close the gate after turning on the lights.
- Turn the switch to the 2 hour mark or your needed duration (turning the switch past the 2 hour limit will not increase the duration past 2 hours).
- NOTE: If you let the timer run out, the lights automatically go into a 15 minute cool down mode before they will turn back on so keep an eye on the time and reset the dial prior to it running out.
