Carlos “GalDiaz” Diaz is a former professional player whose career spanned top leagues around the world — including England, Hungary, Trinidad & Tobago, Brazil, Germany, and Finland. Known for his Brazilian-inspired style of play, Carlos brought creativity, rhythm, and flair to every level he played at.

Now leading MVLA’s Pre-Competitive and Shooting Stars Programs, Carlos brings his international experience and passion for player development to help young athletes build confidence, creativity, and joy in the game. He also currently coaches three competitive teams at MVLA.

  • What is the philosophy of shooting stars?

Our ball mastery sessions use skill-based games to promote individual time on the ball and real PASSION for playing soccer.

  • What do I bring?

It is recommended that players bring water. They are also welcome to bring a ball, but there will be plenty of balls provided at the field.

  • What do I wear?

Wearing cleats and shinguards under soccer socks is encouraged.

  • What are the Program Hours?

See the updated Shooting Stars schedule listed in the next section below.

  • When do they play games?

Play Dates are offered on Saturday mornings giving players the option to play small-sided games to show their skills and score a ton of goals. Saturday Play Dates are offered every Saturday for the duration of the fall, winter or spring program. Registration of a weekday session is required in order to register for the optional Play Dates.

  • Is there a refund policy?

We understand that plans can change, but in order to be fair to all players and staff, please review our Winter 26 Refund Policy or our Spring 26 Refund Policy.
